The Hunger (18)
Summerhall - Cinema
Famously labelled as “an agonizingly bad vampire movie” by Roger Ebert upon its initial release in 1983, The Hunger has since claimed its place in the cult underground. David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve star as stylish vampire lovers biting their way through the NYC club scene. When John (Bowie) begins to show signs of rapid aging he turns to the expert Sarah (Susan Sarandon) for help and a blood-soaked affair follows. Bowie, Deneuve, and Sarandon are a perfectly camp trio in this 80s extravaganza.
