A Short Film Screening Night presenting awarded films from the International Short Film Festival in Drama, followed by short films of nine UK based filmmakers showing their work inspired by this year’s theme, Utopias.


18.15 – Awarded Films from the International Short Film Festival in Drama
For the 6th consecutive year, Syn Festival will be hosting four awarded short films from the International Short Film Festival in Drama, the leading and most renowned short film festival in Greece.The festival is the best South-Eastern European gateway to the world’s most prestigious short film awards, and nominated filmmakers qualify for the European Film Awards.

Syn Festival presents the work of nine UK based filmmakers who drew inspiration from this year’s art theme, Utopias. Their work includes a wide range of genres, from animation to more experimental films.

Q&A session
A Q&A session will be starting right after the end of the screenings with selected filmmakers.

*Admission is FREE. Donations will be given to the Welcoming, a charity with a vision “of a diverse and inclusive Scotland where everyone feels welcome and can achieve their potential”.
