The Jellyman's Daughter

Summerhall - Dissection Room

Music

The Jellyman's Daughter lands squarely in the middle of a strange crossroads between bluegrass, post-rock, folk and soul. Mixing their unique vocal harmonies with wild and visceral cello, driving guitar and sweet mandolin, Emily and Graham write their songs together with a focus on doing something new.

After a well-received debut album in 2014, the pair have been working away on their new album, 'Dead Reckoning', which will be released in March 2018, followed by tours of the UK, Europe and North America. On the album Emily and Graham's voices and instruments are complimented on various songs by double bass (Paul Gilbody), banjo (Jamie Francis), fiddle (Toby Shaer) and a 16-piece string orchestra.

For this very special album launch gig The Jellyman's Daughter will be joined by the very same double bass and banjo you hear on the album, as well as a string quartet to present the new songs live as faithfully as possible - unfortunately we couldn’t fit all 16 string players on stage.
